As a parent we are sure you have a thousend questions, We’re here to answer them!
All of us who are parents feel a responsibility for our children whether they are 3 years old or 30 years old. We care about them and worry about them. Whatever they do, we want to be involved and we want to know they are safe, healthy and happy.
The J1 Cultural Exchange Visitor Program to the United States will be an exciting adventure. Your son/daughter will learn a lot, make friends, see incredible sites, experience a different country and so much more. This can be the most successful and rewarding experience in their lives.
But like everything in life, they will face challenges along the way. You want to be sure that the people who are responsible for all aspects of their program are honorable and caring people. You want to be sure that the participants are all treated fairly. They will be in a safe environment whether at work, at their residence or during their leisure. They will have supervisors and advisors whom they can trust and who will be there for guidance. That is what ACAWE is all about. We pledge to be responsive to your children and to you.
Please feel free to be in touch with us and also to participate in our Parent’s corner. We all will share in the success your children will achieve.
The ACAWE Team
The insurance only covers your child during their time on the program (the dates on the DS 2019 form). If they are planning on being in the US during their grace period then they are responsible for paying for the extra insurance, Which can be done online.
This travel insurance policy does not cover pre-existing conditions or extreme sports. So we recommend participants with such conditions to purchase extra insurance that covers their specific needs for the entire stay in the US.
